Symi Island, Greece
Symi is located 25 miles north –northwest of Rhodes. Its interior is dotted with small valleys, and its coastline alternates between rocky cliffs and beaches, and isolated coves. The island has many isolated beaches most of them accessible by boat. Also, it has many historical sites. Some of the reasons that people from all over the world visit Symi is to see the island’s famous monastery of St Michael of Panormitis and also to watch the Symi Festival that takes place every summer and inlcudes classical music concerts, dance performances, and art exhibitions.
